The recent one Introducing Xbox GamesAtlus revealed this Persona 3originally released in 2006, will receive a full remake bearing the title Persona 3 Reloaded. However, fans are conflicted about the news as the game’s original voice has been completely replaced. In addition, Ann IGN an interview with producer Ryota Niitsuma and lead director Kazuhiro Wada revealing that the remake will only feature content from the original Persona 3and not its 2009 PSP version Persona 3 Portable or the 2012 edition Person 3 DO. Mostly this means the female character Kotone Shiomifirst introduced in Portablewill not be included in the game.

“So the basic concept of recreating the Persona The story was that we wanted to keep everything from the original version but update everything to the modern day,” Wada said IGN. “So on the same level as Persona 5, basically. So we’ve got the latest graphics, we’ve updated the system to the latest usability… We’ve got the voice lines in [both Japanese and English.] We also have the text in 13 languages. So you should be able to have similar experiences like those of Persona 5.”
Shiomi, also known as “FeMC” among Persona fans, was first introduced in Persona 3 Portablewhich came out in the US in 2010. Xiaomi’s absence in Persona 3 Reloaded stings for players who are attached to the character and consider her the core of their experience Persona 3. It’s also particularly impressive considering the reveal of the remake comes just five months after Atlus’ announcement Persona 3 PortableSteam and PlayStation 5 release. - Yukari: Heather Gonzalez (Gloria Costello v Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean)
While the news of the remake has some fans a sense of contradiction, there may be good reason to replace at least some of the original cast. Supporting character Junpei Iori, for example, was previously voiced by Vic Mignogna, who faced multiple allegations of sexual harassment in the last years. In any case, Persona 3 voice alum Yuri Lowenthal, who also plays Peter Parker on Insomniac’s Spider Man streak, believes the game is up good hands with your new voice.
“Honestly, I can’t think of a better person to take up the mantle,” Lowenthal tweeted of Alex Le, who is replacing him as the main character Makoto. “Congratulations Alex!!”
Persona 3 Reloaded is scheduled for release in early 2024 on Xbox and PC.
