If you watched even a minute Neuro-sama streaming on Twitch you knew it was only a matter of time before the AI driven Vtuber was banned. The channel is currently offline for two weeks due to “hateful conduct”, although it is unclear what the offending incident was.
“Ok so banned for 2 weeks apparently, not sure why something about hateful behavior,” Neuro-sama’s creator, a user who goes by the name Vedal, wrote on Vtuber’s Discord earlier today. “I will try to appeal and find out more. The good news for you guys is that it gives me so much time to work on improvements and upgrades, so hopefully by the time it’s removed, it’ll be better than ever.”
Hundreds of fans responded to the message with crying emojis. On the Twitter account Out of context Neuro Named on Twitch to “free my girl”.
Neuro-sama started making waves in the video game streaming space in December when she pranked viewers on Twitch chat while playing the rhythm game Osu! Unlike other Vtuber who are only people posing as anime avatarsNeuro-sama was the real deal, defeating opponents in online matches while commentating on everything from Pewdiepie to League of Legends. More recently she has been playing Minecraft and takes singing lessons.
