The new LEGO Train Station set has giant human poo in its toilet

LEGO set 60335, “Train station” for the LEGO City line, isn’t the first in the company’s history to ship with some poop. However, he is the first to be delivered with a huge pile of human shit clogging a toilet.

The station actually includes three separate components: the station itself, a bus and a small orange truck pulling a trailer. The station and bus are perfectly fine and incident-free, both shining examples of LEGO’s utopian ideals of public transport and modern, accessible architecture.

However, the truck is hauling something. Porta-potty. And no matter how utopian the rest of LEGO’s design ideals are, a porta-potty is a porta-potty, so in the interest of realism it’s full of human crap. Take a look at this part of the instruction manual that blew up after it is shared by Louis Mantle, Jr:

Now, as I said, this isn’t the first time LEGO has put poo in their sets! This particular piecefirst introduced in 2019 and officially known as “53119: Plate Round 1 x 1 Swirled Top”, most commonly used as two things: the top half of a cupcake with chocolate icing and like animal droppings (perhaps the most famous in a trash can in New York). I have no worries for one of the two.

However, I have concerns here. first, why? Why drag this on? Why couldn’t the person – including because he was doing maintenance on the building –just use the station, surely there is a bathroom? I feel like someone at LEGO really wanted to make a porta-potty with poo in it because they thought it was funny, and if so, well, I get it because it’s funny.

second, The thinks this poor minifigure should be potty with a big old man mess sloshing around in it makes me feel worse about it than I’ve ever felt about a minifigure job in my life, and that’s saying something considering the loads are only meant to be killed in battle.

in third placethe scale of it all is far and rough. This happens a lot in LEGO, I know, but this scenario really got me thinking. These shits are filling up the toilet! Imagine shit filling your entire toilet bowl! A giant chocolate cupcake is a good thing. Person it is not so.

Helpfully, Mantia didn’t just share the brochure (this set was only recently released and is already sold out, because that’s what happens to nice LEGO sets in 2022), but he shot a little video of him… assembling the toilet.

If this is the direction the company is headed, I can’t wait to turn this into a series with other similar blogs “New York Subway LEGO set is covered in piss”.
