Electronic Arts has quietly begun the process of shutting down the online servers for a bunch of old games. Ssome of them are absolute classics, some of which you’d be forgiven for forgetting.

First noticed by Real achievementsthe list includes favorites like The mirror’s edge, The 2010s NBA Jam reboot, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 (Tim Curry “the only place not corrupted by capitalism” one).

Shutting down the servers will have several effects. First, it will apparently shut down the multiplayer servers for any game that supports the feature, although games like Red Alert 3 that still have an active community already have fan-supported solutions for this.

Second, it will prevent you from receiving achievements that have an online component; NBA Jam there are a few that require you to play online so they will be locked forever after the servers go down.

Third, and most frustratingly, going down this list made me realize this The mirror’s edge and Red Alert 3 are now 14 years oldthat Mercenaries the games were great and sadly missed, and this in 2010 NBA Jam the reboot is now almost as old to us as the original NBA Jam.

Through IGNhere’s the full list of games that will be affected (you can see previous fallen heroes on this site where EA maintains records):
