Lady Dimitrescu, aka The Tall Vampire Lady, or simply The Big Lady if you’re at a loss for words, may need to get a more diminutive nickname that doesn’t refer to her tall stature, following the release of Resident Evil VillageThe first major DLC because Capcom are going to make her a bit lower.
Resident Evil VillageThe big upcoming DLC collection of, collectively called ‘Winters’ Expansion’, was first announced in June during the Capcom not-E3 broadcast. In it, players will play as protagonist Ethan Winter’s daughter, now a teenager, Rose, to tie up the loose ends of A villagethe history of. This will allow you to play in the game’s “Mercenaries” style raid mode as Chris Redfield, Carl Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu. However, players will not be able to live as Lady D when it comes to her canonical stature in Mercenaries mode.
In an interview with A polygon, Kento Kinoshita, the director of the Winters expansion, revealed that Capcom had to nerf Lady D’s height to give players a smoother gameplay experience. During the development of RE VillageMercenary regime, Kinoshita said A polygon that Lady Dimitrescu’s height presented a challenge to the developers. Despite the difficulty of converting Lady D’s height in Mercenaries, Kinoshita said the overwhelming fan response to this element of Lady Dimitrescu’s “tall height” was “too important not to” include in the game mode.
“For The Mercenaries, it’s necessary for the player to be able to easily control their character, and to make that possible, we’ve adjusted her height to just under nine feet tall,” said Kinoshita A polygon. “At this height, the player barely avoids hitting the ceiling.”
Kinoshita also revealed that Capcom also managed to keep Lady D’s “calm, dignified side, [and] excitable, deranged side” in The Mercenaries, so make of that information what you will.
All Winters’ Expansion updates will launch on October 28th and will be available both separately and as a bundle with the original game known as Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.
